Slack engineer Erica Baker makes the simple case that diversity is important because one person can’t know everything there is to know about the world. She also gave the keynote address at the Wired Business Conference to discuss diversity in technology.

Whatever your opinion of the CIA in the United States, it’s undeniable that they heavily influence world issues. A huge problem for them is groupthink, and the the Director of the agency cites diversity as the key to battling that hurdle.

Diversity in technology is so important because every company is becoming a tech company.
